STOCK VAT METHOD -I

Optimization of Vat Dyeing Process: MLR: 1:4

1.Dyestuffs: Brown BR powder, Brown G Powder, Brown 2G powder, Brown R Powder.

Dyeing temperature = 45'C to 50'C

Chemical calculations and Material Liquor Ratio:

Depth of Shade	Caustic Soda Flakes		Sodium Hydrosulphite
	MLR 1:4	MLR 1:10	MLR 1:4	MLR 1:10
For Light Shade	6.5 g/l	4.0 g/l	7.0 g/l	3.25 g/l
For Medium Shade	8.5 g/l	5.0 g/l	9.5 g/l	5.0 g/l
For Dark Shade	11.0 g/l	6.25 g/l	12.0 g/l	6.5

Vatting Method:

Dyestuff powder - 1.0 kg
TRO - 100 ml
Water at 50'c - 50 liters
Caustic Soda Flakes - 1.5 kgs
Hydros - 1.0 kg
Vatting Temperature - 50'C
Vatting Time Required - 15 minutes

Note: The addition of hydros in to the dyebath during dyeing to maintain the vat condition is approximately 30% to 40% of the total quantity of hydros used in the bath and the quantity used for vatting.
