Shrinking machines

Effective shrinking with patented process technology and considerably reduced energy consumption

Application for wovens, felts and knittes of all kinds of material – wool, wool blends, PES/CV, synthetic fibres, CO, CV, etc. – especially suitable for blends with elasthan.

In shrinking with the patented process technology latent fabric tensions are removed through treatment by heat and steam. The fabric is guided through the machine at no tension and shocked by changes of temperature. Shrinking is provoked by the contact with the heated shrinking plate. It can additionally be supported by more or less intensive steaming within the heated tunnel – thus final shrinking without loss of effect is possible. The following cooling shock stabilizes the relaxed condition of fabric, because fabric temperature quickly falls below the critical glass transition temperature. The absolutely relaxed fabric run is automatically controlled by means of the contactless measuring and regulating of loop. Minimum residual shrinkage values in warp and weft are therefore guarantied together with improvement of fabric touch.
The range is particularly efficient for elastic fabrics and blends with elasthan: controlled shrinkage of grey fabric to create elasticity as well as to ensure residual shrinkage values of the finished fabric within the required tolerances.
As compared with the conventional conveyor belt system with open steaming, the steam consumption is reduced by appr. 75%. Suction of steam and the conveyor belt as a part of wear and tear are no longer required. Shrinkomat is easy to maintain and reduces losses in production.

Depending on the production capacity the machine can also be supplied in a smaller version.
