Efficient surface setting with high degree of fixation in continuous operation

1

Use: Wovens and knitteds of wool and blends with wool, depending on the execution in wet finishing but also in dry finishing.

This machine provides efficient surface setting with high degree of fixation. Creases in the following scouring or dyeing processes can be avoided or even eliminated, same as bulge effects.
Fabric structure is smoothed and the fabric touch effectively improved. First the fabric is moistened to have either a humidity of ~60%, or reduced to ~30% by means of pre-drying unit (option), and guided into the Super crab unit. In a sandwich between heated effect cylinder and heated pressure belt the moistened fabric is crabbed reaching temperatures of up to 140°C inside the fabric. Due to absolute impermeability of the pressure belt such high temperatures can be reached. Moisture is converted in saturated steam being this process created through the high surface pressure produced by the stretching roller to the pressure belt. Process conditions are above the glass transition temperature of the 2nd order of wool, i.e. changes in the fabric are permanent.

In application of the patented process with pre-drying wet fixation is realized having the fabric a humidity of 25-30%. Fabric finally leaves the machine with the hygral humidity, that means fixation is completely finished. This leads to an additional increase of the degree of fixation. An additional drying process is not necessary.
