Application
Wovens, felts and knitteds made of all kinds of material: wool, blends with wool as well as synthetic fibres blended with cotton, viscose, etc. The Contipress serves for pressing, compacting and smoothening of the fabric.
Effects
Pressing
Pretreatment for kier decatizing
Press board effect
decatizing effect
Bright lustre finish
In the field of wool the Contipress is thereby replacing the disadvantageous rotary press. The Contipress process ensures that there is no stretch during pressing, because there are no relative movements. Also beyond the field of outerwear the
Contipress is successfully used, e.g. for automobile upholstery. The process fully meets the requirements made upon improvement of appearance, touch, tailorability as well as to wear and pilling resistance.
A special pressure belt presses the fabric with adjustable surface pressure against an effect cylinder. Both elements are heated independently from each other. On an incomparably longer way of pressure influence, pressing is carried out quicker and
more intensively than with linear pressure.
The pressure belt, optimised in many years of development, does not produce any marking on the fabric. Furthermore, it has a long lifetime and is resistant against chemicals and temperatures of up to 200°C. Additionally there is the possibility of
moistening the fabric, especially in combination with Hygrocor, and thus of an intensive decatizing as per the Superfinish principle under extreme surface pressure and high fabric temperatures. Humidity, temperature and surface pressure – decisive
factors for the setting process – are optimally available at the same time.
