Spot colors vs process colors : The inks used in conventional printing systems are known as spot colors. This means the erquired shade is prepared by mixing appropriate colors before printing.Although it is a skilled job, it allows matching the desired shade as closely as possible. The inks used in the inkjet printing are known as process color. The desired shade is produced on the fabric itself during printing operation. This is achieved by super imposing the dots of limited number of colors essentially, cyan, magenta, yellow and black. In some cases additional color may be used to increase the color gamut.
